PACK 99 EVENTS

Pack 99 enjoys many adventures, projects, and special events throughout the year. In addition to regular den meetings, and monthly pack meetings, there are lots of opportunities for hiking, camping, sleepovers, and of course, the Pinewood Derby!

PINEWOOD DERBY

The Pinewood Derby is one of the most anticipated events of the year!  The scouts love to design and build their cars and race them to see how fast they can go!

SERVICE PROJECTS

One of the tenants of the Cub Scout Law is that "A Scout is Helpful." In the fall, Pack 99 participates in Cub Scouting for Food, which collects, organizes, and distributes food donations prior to Thanksgiving. We also organize a number of service projects such as litter cleanup, coat drives and many other community enrichment programs.

PACK EXPERIENCES

Throughout the year Pack 99 creates so many memories, could be pack bike rides, hikes, swimming, camping, excursions to museums, or mountains. Pack 99 has done Sleep away adventures of all sorts, camping, ballgames, fishing, shows and community services and events. No matter what we do it's always fun and exciting! Keep an eye out for what we have planned for this year!

CHUCKWAGON

What is Chuckwagon? The Chuckwagon Derby in April is a full day Cub Scout competition that involves Cub Scouts of mixed ranks pulling and pushing a covered wagon to stations that are geared to their age group. The stations cover topics in the Cub handbooks and "test" a variety of age appropriate skills. The Chuckwagon Derby symbolizes what scouting is all about: having fun while learning in the outdoors, and building self-esteem and teamwork.
