The Pinewood Derby is one of the most exciting events of the year! Each scout is given a car kit that he or she can customize according to the pinewood derby regulations. The scouts love to shape, paint, and decorate their cars and give them a name. On race day, all the cars are weighed and checked for adherence to the regulations, and then the cars are raced in heats by dens, and eventually a pack winner is determined.  It's a day full of fun and friendly competition.
